RULES
The Swiss Triathlon regulations apply for 2024 edition of the Gruyère Triathlon.

START

The start must be made from the edge of the water. Any departure made in the water and/or anticipated, will result in disqualification.
RACE AND SAFETY GUIDE

Routes are open to traffic for the duration of the event.

Drafting prohibited.

Wearing a rigid bicycle helmet is mandatory.

Use of extenders in Rossens descents.

SWIM AREA WARMUP

In the supervised swimming area only
ILLEGAL EQUIPMENT

The athletes will not wear any electronic system such as earphones, headphones, or any other sound reproducing device likely to limit attention and reduce listening, under penalty of disqualification. In addition, glass containers are not allowed.
LICENCE
-
Olympic and Sprint : A one day licence from Swiss Triathlon (EasyPass) is mandatoy or an annual licence from Swiss Triathlon (StartPass) or from a foreign federation affiliated to ITU/ETU

Fun: A one day licence from Swiss Triathlon (FunPass) is mandatoy or an annual licence from Swiss Triathlon (StartPass) or from a foreign federation affiliated to ITU/ETU

Relay: A one day licence from Swiss Triathlon (EasyPass) is mandatoy or an annual licence from Swiss Triathlon (StartPass) or from a foreign federation affiliated to ITU/ETU for once of the team member.

The price of the licence EasyPass is 10 CHF and for the licence FunPass it's 3 CHF.It's possible to buy the day licence during the registration.
INSURANCE

Participants must have their own liability and health insurance offering the necessary cover for participation in the Gruyère Triathlon.
TIMING

The timing is electronic (with a chip).

Each participant has an individual time for the swimming part, for the cycling part and for the running part.

The final time, including transitions, will be the official time for the final classification.
AWARD

Souvenir price for each participant.

The first athletes in each races receive a prize and only the athletes present at the awards ceremony will be awarded.

No rewards will be sent by mail.
PICTURE

By participating in the Gruyère Triathlon, each competitor authorizes the organizer to use his image, his voice and his sport performance for any direct exploitation or in derivative form of the event and this, on any medium, in the whole world, by all means known and unknown to date and this for an unlimited period.
RESPONSIBILITY

The organizer declines all responsibility for material damage, bodily injury and theft occurring during the Gruyère Triathlon on July 14th 2023.

In the event of registration by third parties of participants who are still minors, the organizer assumes that it has been authorized by the legal representatives of these minors.
WEATHER CONDITION

In the event of bad weather conditions (strong wind, heavy rain, changing temperature, current, etc.), the swimming events may be canceled.In case of cancellation of the swim, it will be replaced by a running event. The decision will be taken by Swiss Triathlon referrees.

The wearing of neoprene or swimsuit may be mandatory or forbidden depending of the water temperatur. The decision will be taken by Swiss Triathlon referrees.
NB: Persons of both sexes are designated in these regulations by the masculine, without however discriminating against women.
